Croyde Bay Surf Croyde Bay is internationally recognised as a top UK surfing destination. Quality Atlantic swells regularly hit the shore, and the bay does it's best to make the most of them. When the conditions are right the surf breaks barrel nicely.       The type of surfers that come to Croyde are predominately of the friendly and relaxed variety. While the big boys and girls cut up on the outskirts, families and children play between the red flags of the extensive (depending upon rip current safety conditions) bathing area under the watchful gaze and loudhailer control of the lifeguards who are in regular summer season attendance.
